Swearing In Ceremony of New Citizens. After the new citizens have completed their requirements for full status as new citizens, the are wworn in to officially be citizens of the United States. After that special occasion, the LWV of Troy Area holds s reception for them and their families and has the Troy city clerk, Aileen Dickson, on hand to register them to vote. It is a heartwarming occasion we are proud to be a part of.

Kick Off Dinner. This is the official beginning of our new year, even though we have been working throughout the summer. Cost is $10 and is a fundraiser as well as a time to get together to get more caught up on each others lives.
